New Investor- Live in Cali & Property in Las Vegas

Alondra R.
Posted

Hello,

I am looking into investing and I will be purchasing a home in Las Vegas and planning on renting it out (it is so expensive to buy something decent here). I will be living & working in California. I am new to investing, owning a home, becoming a landlord, & knowing about tax requirements of having a home in Vegas while living in California. I will also be doing my homework but thought it wouldn't hurt to post and see what other information I could gather. Information I am trying to get:

1. How to live in California & deal with rental properties in Las Vegas? (any websites/apps you suggest to manage applicants/screenings/creating leases)

2. Tax requirements of living in California & having a rental property in Las Vegas

If there are any tips or suggestions you have for me whether it is resources or any information you feel will be valuable to someone new to all this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you :)
