Problem with Contractor and Plumber

Moishy Scharman
Posted

Hi All, I am a beginer investor, just started a couple of months ago and I am facing trouble with a contractor. The contractor has done a really horrible job, but the straw that broke the camels back was that he told me we have a plumbing issue, and that we need to hire a plumber for an additional $4k. They drilled a 7 inch pipe through a bedroom and didn't notify me. They claimed that this was the only way. Did anyone face this before? ( The contract was over because the contractor exceeded the time he was given on the job for more than 3 weeks + this breach in trust). Also would appreciate any advice on going forward, as I will have to probably face civil litigation from the contractor who's mad he wasn't given more time etc. Thank you!
