what do you consider good cash flow per month on a rental property?

@John HixonThere are lots of factors to this equation and the most significant one is what market you choose to invest in? The main market factors are supply/demand, property tax rates, insurance rates, property values, and other local economic factors.
Some others are, what is your risk tolerance? How "hands on" are you going to be? How are you financing your deals? What is your time frame to what you are trying to accomplish in the long term (aka your investment horizon)? We can throw some numbers out there, but it's really different for each of us.
It's up to each of us whether or not the amount of time/effort we put into this is worth the return we get.
