Square feet dilimma??

Question

Good afternoon BP family, may all be well for through the holidays. My question is, I'm interested in purchasing a property from a wholesaler, they don't know the square footage and the property itself isn't listed in the tax records. What does that mean and is there a way around that? Thanks for all suggestions.

The fact that it is not listed in the tax roll is most worrisome. I would not waste my time on this unless that gets cleared up to my satisfaction.

There is nothing in SDAT on it? Is it new construction?

Is this brand new construction since Jan 1st?

Is it on the edge of town, possibly listed in the county?  Need a different GIS map?

@John Teachout I could do that, my concern with that option is, it's a multifamily and that's not going to give me the dimensions for each unit.

Thanks for the reassurance to follow my intuition. I reached out to the tax records customer service for an explanation, they said they will get back to me one day next week.
