I just wanted to post my success story on here to hopefully give someone some inspiration that they too can become financially free. I went to school at a small private school where I graduated highschool with basic algebra I dropped out of college and started working at a bio rational pesticide company working 12 hour days on the weekends and 1 day during the week. I lived in my parents basement at the age of 22. I bought my first house at the age of 23 which was 43k 2br starter home. I loved in that for 1 year until my wife and I moved to an acreage she thought we were going to sell the house but I decided to rent it out and see how it went. We found a social worker who we thought was going to be a good fit. I got a call from the sheriff saying his drug dealer broke down the door and he was going to rehab. We had to evict after that experience my wife thought we were going to sell and never do rentals again. I decided to buy 2 more houses and rent those out. She officially thought I was crazy. 5 years of investing later I know have 7 single family homes and a big office building I rent out to the USDA and various other businesses and have quit my 11-11 full time job and now stay home with my family and take care of my real estate portfolio. My wife works 2 days a week, we have a lot of free time to spend watching our kids grow up. While it was a lot of sacrifice and guts in the beginning I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I am not a smart person by any means I just wanted it more then the next guy and you can also live the lifestyle you want if you just focus on your goals and keep moving towards them everyday. Thank you BiggerPockets for all the information I have learned from this website over the last few years. I am 29 years old financially free and I hope this inspires someone to keep grinding and know the finish line is in sight.

Great post. If people just do the basic stuff and don’t mind working and sacrificing. The entry level is pretty low in real estate.
