Property worth the headache?

Posted

Looking into a 9 acre lot with a house and a wooden cabin, with two ponds.

currently the house has a resident living in it meaning everything works but not best quality.

the wooden cabin needs to have its foundations fixed.

in the future my plan is to make this into a big project of rooms for rent on Airbnb..

currently I live in Maryland and I'm having trouble finding contractors for fixing up this house and property managers.

I have a cleaning crew that can come and someone who can take care of plowing the snow and cut the grass and some maintenance people who can fix basic issues.

is this worth getting into?

The property is listed for 145,000..

if I put in around 100,000

I think I can rent it out on Airbnb for total of $30, 000 a year before expenses..
