College student looking for real estate advice

I am a senior in college, soon to graduate, get married, and move somewhere in the U.S. as an entry-level civil engineer. I plan to invest into real estate heavily, but don't have the money to start just yet. Right now I'm reading books and listening to BiggerPockets podcasts to educate myself. Other than this, can anyone give me some advice on starting out in real estate? My goal is to eventually invest in real estate full time to increase freedom for my wife and I. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

@Eliott Elias,

I'd be interested in doing that! Maybe you could connect me with your old company and if things work out I could consider moving to Austin and go from there?
