Engineers inspections are NOT allowed during showing appointment

I’ve seen this statement in a few listings: ”Engineers inspections are NOT allowed during showing appointments.”

I can guess at why it’s there (to mask problems), but would appreciate agent feedback here. What is the real purpose of this statement?

I think it became a thing in some hot markets where buyers would come to an initial viewing with an inspector, contractor, engineer, architect and then try to “pre-inspect” during a viewing and block the property for 2 hours for a viewing. That is not the intent of a viewing and sellers want as many buyers to look at the listing as possible. 2-3 buyers with their engineers can lock up an entire day
