Small Rancher with past termite treatment

Hi all,

Looking to purchase a home for my family and then ultimately will be moving in 5 or more years and look to use it as a STR. I have 2 other properties that rent annually and this would be the third purchase. It's in a good school district and very close to the train station with a good amount of backyard space to expand the house. The issue: it has a history of termite treatment. Not sure to what extent just yet but my husband fees that termites can be problematic and that it's a dealbreaker. Anyone have experience with termites? Has it been a dealbreaker for anyone with a property with a history of treatment? Any insights would be helpful and appreciated.
