Finding money when you you are new

I am new to investing. I come from the tech industry and want to start aggressively building my renting portfolio.

My main concern at the moment is how to find private investors/partners. I am good at talking to people but I don't feel I have the 'pitch' mindset.

Can anyone suggest some strategies of finding partners and money?
