How to disprove a claim of "sinkhole activity" on a home I am looking to flip
Any florida investors out there that have delt with houses with outstanding sinkhole activity claims reported on the county appraisers website? I am looking at a bank owned home with such, and there is no paperwork to substantiate one way or another and the bank is selling "as is" of course - (on Hubzu which makes it altogether clueless) Is there any guidelines to getting the sinkhole claim expunged somehow? My contractor/inspector and I saw no apparent signs of sinkhole activity. I understand that fraudulant sinkhole claims ran rampant during short sales in the past.
