5G Rooftop Leasing Process
I receive a lot of questions on what the process for implementing a 5G Rooftop lease looks like. Here is the typical process that you should expect:
- Sign a marketing agreement with the company helping you locate carriers and negotiate the contract. This allows them to post your property on a master database so that carriers can match with your property.
- Within 10 business days, you should hear back from the company as to whether your property is a viable candidate for 5G rooftop leasing
- The company should contact carriers to see if there is any immediate interest. If not, your property will continue to stay in the master database so that it may be matched with a carrier at a future date.
- The company will then negotiate the lease with the carrier on your behalf in order to maximize cash flow and ensure the terms are most advantageous.
- The lease is presented to you for your approval.
- The company should manage the process for permits, construction and implementation of the rooftop equipment.
- The cash flow from the lease is managed monthly in a trust account and is distributed within 14 days of receiving the funds from the carrier.
- Your property should continue to be marketed by the company in order to obtain leases with additional carriers or upsell your current carriers.
With 5G rooftop leasing, you typically won’t pay anything until a lease is secured and you collect the first month’s rent. Therefore, it is to your benefit to ensure you work with a company that doesn’t charge fees upfront. This way you’re not tying up capital needed for other areas of your business.
Are you currently utilizing your rooftop to generate monthly income?
