Help with Sheriff Sales Southeastern PA

Hello everyone,

I am looking into sheriff sales, upset sales, and judicial sales in PA, mainly Montco and Delco. Is there a good detailed reference someone could point out on how these work? I see a debt owed amount, but I assume you are bidding on the home and not the debt? I'm a little confused and just want to understand more about the specifics on analyzing the listings.
