Trying to buy my first investment property, got approved  with 0 down , but now the underwriter found out i lost my oroginal home to shortsale and i have a $31,000 judgement for the next 11 years. So my question is if I will never be able to finance again ? Or is there a way around ?

That judgement doesnt always go away after 11 years , the holder can have it renewed .  Now the cool thing is  ( at least in my state )   When you hit the lottery or come into some money , like the sale of a house , they will see that judgement and thke the money and pay it off  with interest  , you get whats left .

My advice , pay off the judgement  and then you are free of it .

It will haunt you with loans until then
