Bookkeeping Issues with 24 doors and 6 active rehabs...help!

Daniel Murray

Question for the group. I currently hold 24 doors and 6 of those are active rehabs. I also have a full time job so as you can imagine I am looking for ways to streamline my systems and procedures to save time. I hired a bookkeeper recently and I am paying a lot of money each month. She sends me multiple emails every day and long lists of transactions that I need to help her reconcile. I thought hiring a bookkeeper would save me time but I feel like it's actually more work than when I did it all myself. How do you guys keep records on all your flips and properties? Any advice is appreciated.

She definitely should not be sending you emails everyday. I send my clients one email a month of transactions that I am unware of. Sending emails everyday is not streamlined at all. For my clients I create either a dropbox folder or a google shared folder and they put receipts, Hud1s, and other important information in the folder. This really cuts down on going back and forth.
