Considering first REI purchase. Looking at FL. need advice.

Hello!

I have been listening to the podcast and reading through the forums. My husband and I are wanting to ease our way into REI. We are thinking about a Kissimmee area rental for short term rentals because we could also stay there when we go to Disney (we live in Texas) We have about 50k to use. Is this a terrible idea? I am open to all advice! This is exciting but also intimidating.
