Building my mom a house, and it's my first new build project!

She owns a property/ small house on .39 acre lot in small town North Texas, we'll be tearing it down as it's dilapidated and unsafe for her to live in. I'm going to assist with financing and will coordinate the project to help keep costs down. Any advice you may have to help me along would be greatly appreciated! I'm in the building a team phase now, and have purchased plans.

Hopefully she is in great shape now, but plan for the future.  If you have the $, features like extra wide doors to get a wheelchair thru, roll in shower, tall toilets, things like that can make it safer for everyone at some point.  Gone thru it myself with parents and grand parents.
