If a house you’re looking to buy has an attic, but does not have attic access what is the worst thing that can happen?

The worst? You finally gain access to the attic and find several bodies. You notify the police and they uncover several more. They obtain a search warrant and recover several more skeletons in the walls. They've destroyed your house and it's not covered by insurance because it was caused by police. It's not covered by police because it it was required by the search warrant. The previous owner disappeared immediately after your purchase of the home. You're now prime suspect in all the bodies and disappearance of the previous owner, probably why you got such a good deal on the house. You obliterate all your financial resources and reputation defending yourself in court. After that you either get free food for life in jail, or you get to rebuild from the ground up on the outside with no money. But hey, that's worst case... it's probably not that bad. Just add a door and check for insulation.
