Price of changing 8ft ceilings to 9 ft before construction

My house isn't built yet, and the plans have the ceiling height at 8ft. I want 9 ft ceilings. What would the price be to change this? The house is 1,268 sq/ft without the basement. My contractor is taking too long to answer. Thanks!
