Flippers! Water line leak 4 months after being sold! Liable?
We flipped a house over the winter and sold it this spring. 4 months after the sale they have a leak in one of the fittings we installed. Dripped inside the wall and caused some water damage. They called us and we went out to cut out the affected drywall and set up a dehumidifier. Next day they are saying the ceiling, floor and possibly the wall on the other side needs replacing too!! There were no signs of that when we were there. I’m trying to be nice and protect my name but now they are threatening legal action! We even offered to pay their deductible for an insurance claim! I feel like I should’ve ignored this one but I try my best to do what is right.
Anyone else having a great day??
