Floors Replaced - Closet Doors Track Now Missing

Todd Holes
Posted

Our floors were recently replaced due to water damage. We went from Pergo to a vinyl laminate.

Previously, we had closet doors that were bi-fold Colonist, and they had tracks at the top and bottom. The new floors look great, but the contractor did not replace or reinstall the bottom track. Now, the closet doors simply "hang" from the top track, which seems a bit precarious. The transition from inside of the closet to the room is seamless--and looks nice. I suppose if we are "careful," and do not open the doors too vigorously, they will be fine. But it seems that the bottom track should have been reinstalled, or, if damaged when tearing up the old floor, replaced with a new track.
