Mold issue in dry states

Jenna Walker
Posted

House built in 74 in inland San diego. Very dry all through out the year. I see the mold forming on the ceiling of the bathroom around the edges. Bathroom even has windows. Wish I can share the photo of the ceiling. Its not horrible but visible.

Considering the weather in SD is always dry, this bathroom mold can be more serious issue? What is the best way to get rid of them to pass the inspection to get loan on them?

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like either the vent fan is defective, never being used, or venting in to the attic.

Test fan, for the future, replace if bad. if it’s mild surface mold google best treatment, I think the preferred method switched away from bleach. If the fan is working go in attic or to outside of house and see if it’s venting outside.
