Hiring a Construction Superintendent

Hello all,

Just a recap on what I am working on.  I have bought 3 lots  in a subdivision and only weeks away from completing construction on the first house.  Everything went okay on the 1st home just few minor bumps and bruises.  There were a few things that I am going to change going forward however, one thing that I wanted to implement was hiring someone who can visit the site weekly and report back to me if there are any problems or items that should be addressed.  I work full time however I am only able to go to the site weekly on Saturdays.  When I am out there I am only looking for the progress of the house and not if there are issues regarding the construction.

Just to give you a little history my brother was that person on the first house however because of his lack of knowledge and him being a bit of a hot head, he did more harm than good.  The builder who I am building a good relationship with, is doing an okay job, however is just not there as much as I needed because of other projects he is working on.  I need someone who is working for ME and looking out for my best interest.  So my question is what can I pay someone to do something like that?  This person does not have to have a huge extensive resume because he will only be checking the progress and reporting back to me and the builder of any issues with the home.  He would have to have experience in building and supervising ect. Should this person be required to visit the site weekly?  Daily? or just before the next draw is needed?   Also be paid per visit? Monthly?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. :)
