How Much Does Wood Panel Walls Impact ARV

Kerry B.
Posted

I am trying to decide between keeping wood panel walls or drywall. Drywall seems very expensive and we want to get a decent ARV. I am just unsure how much wood panel walls vs. drywall impacts ARV.

@Kerry B.

I think that will all depend on where are you located. In general, though, wood panel walls make rooms darker and seem smaller whereas drywall will do the opposite. 95% of all areas are probably going to receive a higher ARV with drywall but whether or not the cost offsets the increased sales price is something you will need to investigate more thoroughly based on the market you are in. I would ask a local agent for their opinion before making a decision.

Best of luck!
