Drawing Plans for Permit

Hi there, I am rehabbing a property and adding a new bedroom in an unfinished basement. I need to draw up plans for the work to obtain the permit needed for the work. I have not drawn plans before. Any suggestions on software or tutorials that may help with accurate plans? And yes, I have the guide for the relevant county, just trying to do what i can to make my plans not look like an amateur!
