Always exciting when you get the keys and walk into a new property you now own, yeah?  Spent the day yesterday with Tanner and Tim (See #E below) doing some serious cleanout of previous owner's stuff and prep on my next project in San Diego.  A couple observations:

(A) Always good when the houses around you are $1MM homes.  Ugly house, great neighborhood.

(B) Sometimes a wall doesn't need to be torn down, but it's too fun to pass up.

(C) Floorboards from early 1900's houses make great accent walls and furniture pieces!  Who needs a subfloor? Not us!

(D) Not every house is framed ... intelligently.

(E) If you're new to the game and looking to get off the couch and understand how things work, be smart like @Tanner Verhoeks and @Tim Coulter.  They reached out here on BP and eventually joined up on this project - the best way to get something you want is to find someone who has it, then make yourself useful.  Nothing happens unless you put yourself in a position for it to happen to you.

This is gonna be a fun project - thought I'd share the Day 1 pics with BP Nation!
