Large Muti-family rehab help

All, we recently purchased a value add property and the bank is asking for a construction budget for the next six months. Although we plan to hire a GC, I would like to get pointers on buying in bulk. In addition, this is a C class apartment, where would you spend your focus and money to raise value? Assume this place needs a lot of love except for the bones. Thanks for any help
