Need advice for remodel

I am renovating my home and would like advice on flooring. Would it be best to use vinyl or laminate throughout? Or would it be better to use laminate or carpet? I also am replacing doors and windows.Also what’s the best way to find good contractors ? Is it better to find one that does everything or hire each project individuallly? I’m trying to be cost efficient without sacrificing quality on a home renovation for a home I plan to resell
