To build or to buy our multiple family home?

Hello everyone!

We are on the verge of going into our first real estate acquisition! As soon as we move to an a place we think we would live in for the long run, then we would put down roots until the real estate overtakes our regular income.

My question is this! Should we build our own multiple family home? I have a plan for a units of 3/2.5/1Garage! Since this would be my first, I want to actually live in a good accomodation for at least 2 years, then once I save up, I will move to build another one or purchase an already built. My reason for wanting to build is to get exactly what i desire for an abode!

Please I need advise on builders, cost, duration, financing and every detail possible! Thank you!
