Anyone have an issue with using granite counter tops due to tenant damage?

@Jerry Smutek I'm just going to throw this out there but not all granite is the same.  The boring ol' contractor grade (to steal @Blair Poelman s line) or "Level 1" as I've heard it referred to in those neutral colors, with a lot of variable, etc. is far different than the current trend of white granite with only a little variation.  Granite still needs to be sealed and you never know what a tenant will put on top of it.  But those melange (I'm sure there's a better term) patterns hide a lot more than the white counters.

So would I be paranoid about chipping?  Probably not.  Would I want to make sure that I had a some mixed patterns in there (or just straight black) that could mask whatever a tenant might accidentally do that results in a stain?  Yes.
