Over-Developing? Florham Park, NJ

Hi BP! My town has been experiencing rapid change over the past decade in terms of new construction and flips, and I'm curious to hear what anyone thinks the end result will be. In my town, Florham Park, NJ, there has been A LOT of tear downs of split level 1,500-2,500 square feet single family homes mostly on 1/2 to 1 acre lots and subsequent re-construction into large mansions. In addition, there is some flipping activity as well. Particularly, a ranch house on my street was flipped so it now has a 2nd floor. At this rate, it seems like the whole town will consist of these larger homes on what will be postage stamp size pieces of land relative to the houses. Florham Park is a very nice desirable town to live in with good people, good schools, a wonderful safe environment to raise kids in, and good access to a train that goes direct to NYC. I'm sure this situation is not uncommon and has happened many times before. What I'd like to know are some opinions on how this activity might affect the town in the long run? What will it look like when its all over? Etc? Does anyone have any ideas?
