Price per sq./ft. to build in your area...

I've been looking through land/developement listings, but without knowing the cost to build on a given site it's tough to say the least!! ;-)

I don't care whatcha got: commercial, residential, etc... And yes I know there are a million and one variables here.

For example, I went out shopping with someone in this game a long time the other day. he was looking to build self-storage in Los Angeles and I was suprised to hear that the building alone is $60 a foot for self-storage!! Yikes! It's nothing but a garage made of cinder blocks.
