Portland Oregon Zoning

I am looking at a property that is in Portland  (Lents area) and since zoning varies by county and city I have a question for the experts. It has 1 house on 2 lots totaling 9200 square feet. The house according to the owner is uninhabitable. Would I be able to have a 2-over-1 duplex on a lot like this and re-use utilities? I know this is becoming more popular in the portland area because of lack of undeveloped land.

@Gene Murashko , you can also go to www.portlandmaps.com, where you can find the current zoning and get an idea if duplexes are allowed in the area. I would also suggest that you make a trip downtown, trying to get someone to help you by phone is very frustrating.
