Multi Family New Builds- 2 & 3 bd Apartments

Good afternoon,

I have come across some vacant land in an area that is up and coming. I have been interested in owning & managing multi-family properties. I'm looking for any advice and/or suggestions on zoning, design, GC's ( in Genesee County, Michigan), and building. I'd like to put up 2-4 4unit buildings. This is a new facet as I have previously worked with existing Single Family Residentials as far as Buy & Hold, and wholesaling. The land is currently zoned for Single Family Residential, I have spoken with the township in regards to rezoning but have not started the process. I am currently working on a business plan for funding. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
