Looking for my first home build

Bruin Schafrath
Posted

I have been remodeling and building homes since the early 90s. I love what I do. I just recently got my North Carolina Residential General Contractors License, although I do work a Monday through Friday 7-4 salaried job in construction. I want to start building my own homes in Charlotte under my GC license and to start I was thinking of building a home for my wife and myself to start things off. Just sitting down at the computer now to start contacting local banks to start looking into construction loans.

Unless anyone has some better advice.

I don't have any capital built up, although I have tons of experience managing home building. I just need to start building up capital and projects under my own GC license.
