Looking for commercial multifamily agent/broker in Cleveland

Hi, my brother and I are investors with experience in mostly single and 4 unit multi-units and we are currently looking for a commercial multifamily real estate property in the Cleveland area.  This is our 1st experience with commercial real estate and we're having trouble connecting with an experienced agent/brokers to represent us and help us find some deals.  We understand that the best commercial multifamily deals are usually not usually posted on websites such as Loopnet and Crexi so we are looking for some advice on how to find an agent.  We have identified a couple of brokerage firms that have some interesting properties that we would like to pursue but it's been hard to get feedback when attempting to contact them directly.  Isn't it advised to have an agent with experience contact commercial real estate brokers instead of us reaching out directly.  As I mentioned, this is new territory so any advice, direction and experience would be greatly appreciated!!  BTW, I recently ran into this website and all its resources, it's GREAT for small investors like us trying to scale up and learn as much as possible.
