ADA accessiblity requirements, owners of multiple condos

I own a second floor condo in an apartment complex that was moved to condos strictly because it doesn't (and CAN'T) meet the new ADA requirements for first floor units.  They are 4 bed/4 bath units that were built to rent to specific transient (and generally fit/healthy) populations and so only have the physical space for 24" bathroom and closet doors.  These cannot be changed without completely gutting the apartments.  They're a great cashflow investment, but I want to make sure that if I end up owning, say, 10 of these units, that I won't suddenly become an "apartment manager" instead of a condo owner and get dragged into the same problem that forced the apartment complex to become condos in the first place.
