Rule Of Thumb Condo Maintenance

Bryce Nurding
Posted

Hello! I own a condo and im soon to be buying another. Im trying to figure out what a good rule of thumb is for annual/monthly maintenance costs on a condo. I know for a single family home, we would be saying 1% of homes value, a certain amount per square foot, etc depending on the market you are in among other factors.

Now for condos, where the HOA covers the exterior of the building, how much lower should my estimates be. 0.5% of homes value? Half per square foot?
