Jake & Gino Mentorship

Good Morning BP Community! I have been self educating on MF for some time now. I have decided that joining a mentorship program to help with confidence and connect with like minded individuals is what I need to really move forward. I do understand that joining is more of an "investment" than a "cost." However, I have found that it is quite expensive, much more than expected. I am curious if there are former students that can comment on their membership expenses for the program, and if they have found it to be as beneficial as expected (pros and cons of the program). I am currently working a great W2 job and find it may be difficult to carry out the required steps if I am tied down working a job all day or being out of town from prospective investments. Look forward to hearing from everyone! Thanks

Full disclosure I am in the Wheelbarrow Profits Academy aka Jake & Gino Mentorship Program.

To seek a mentor or not is a very common spot many of us find ourselves in either in the beginning of our careers, when we decide to scale or when we change directions and want to expedite what we could have otherwise have done on our own. There are many programs out there and I think anybody looking into a program should check out as many as they reasonably can. Is a mentor program a sure fire way to get you from a beginner to an expert? Absolutely not. But each program will have their own niche and their own benefits. Maybe they have a physical presence in your market, maybe they have a vendor network you can tap into, maybe they have a a large community you can tap into.

When seeking a program you have a few things to consider

    • Do they have processes and systems you can utilize
    • Do they have a network of vendors you can lean on for outsourcing work
    • Do they have resources to help with deal analysis and help you learn how to analyze deals
    • How can they help you learn how to develop deal flow
    • How do they work their instruction
    • Do they have an online portal and what are the mentor's expectations of their students
    • Does your personality mesh with the mentor
    • Are there networking opportunities available

I do not regret my decision to join the program in the least and what I have learned and the connections I have made in the last year have been more than worth the investment. One of the reasons I chose this program is that I could do it at my own pace. I have a demanding W2 job and joined shortly after the birth of our second child. There hasn't been pressure to do more than what I can but at the same time there is pressure to keep moving forward and the support from the coaches is great.

Feel free to PM me if you are looking for more information, I'll help where I can.
