Househacking - Illegal unit as a crashpad?
Hello there,
I can't find much in my research but I am just wondering the risks being taken if I own a multifamily property but I live in illegal unit as the owner. I know I cannot collect rents against an illegal unit but can an owner stay there? Mailing addresses and utilities aside. For simplicity sake, let's say it's a shed in the backyard.
Thanks!
