Affect on Appraisal having Window AC Units

Does anyone have any experience with rehabbing apartments without installing central heating and air? I'm wondering how the appraisal may be affected if there's window units. The area where the property is located have homes with both central and window units just depending on what street you're on. Thanks.

Are you buying an apartment or duplex, triplex, or quad?

Presumably, window units might have an affect on the later group as they are all appraised using Comparative Market Assessment. Without moving to central air, you might get compared to properties that have not been updated. An apartment is appraised on the income approach. So, the appraisal will change depending on if you would make more or less NOI with central HVAC.
