Retaining Wall and Building Codes Cartersville Ga

Hey guys,

To to bigger pockets and investing. My husband and I have found a potential investment property in Cartersville, Ga with a few issues to resolve. Currently building (quadruplex) is uninhabitable due mostly to a retaining wall that was built behind and never permitted. I need to find a trustworthy structural contractor to help that is knowledgeable in building code for that area. Having trouble getting someone serious to quote me for the job. Potential to buy the building next store which is also uninhabitable due to lack of care of building and also no retaining wall behind the structure. Big job. Lots of questions. I’ve spoken to county officials and lots of contractors, but still unsure how to proceed. Need a concise plan of action and not sure what to do first! Any thoughts?! Sorry for long post
