Developing a Couple of Acres for Modular Multifamily Quadplexes
I am considering purchasing a couple of acres close to a cute downtown in SC. The land is wooded without any water, sewer, etc and in the county. Does anyone have experience with this? What all expenses do I need to factor into this? water, sewer, clearing the land, landscaping, paving, etc? I am thinking I will put 16 total modular units (4 total quadplexes) on the land since I read that you could put up to 8 units per acre. Is it best to have all of the land cleared and paving done at the same time? I am thinking I will do one quadplex at a time, so it's not so much cost up front. I would love to hear your experience about this type of development. Thanks so much!
