To Rebuild or not? Should I build a 2-Family home on my lot?
The house I live in was built in 1920 in Queens, NY. Previous owned by my Grandfather who is now deceased. It’s a single family home that will be torn down after being sold. The lot is zoned for 2-Family house. I am a licensed Realtor who has personally watched the neighborhood change over the past 30 years of my life. Every home in the area (The majority of homes were exactly the same building structure) where torn down and built into a new 2 family homes. Currently, the home is not going to pass an inspection. I have been considering the idea of building a 2-family home on the property.
What do you think I should do?
Thank you I appreciate your insight!
