Can you house hack with apartaments?

Hello , George here . So my question it's simple : Can you house hack with apartaments ? Like 1-2 units apartaments. And the reason why I'm asking this is because I don't really see a way in doing this.

Because the bank morgage is 300$

I can at maximum charge for the other room 100-150$ 

I tought to maybe like add 2 beds in one room and so i can have  3 tenants , is that a good ideea?
