Alternative Options for Pool Phones for Multifamily Properties

One of the requirements to have a pool at a multifamily property is the accessibility of a POOL PHONE.

All of our properties currently have a WIRED pool phone and we pay $40-50/month for that line that rarely ever gets used.

We know we are required to have the pool phone available near the pool for emergencies and we certainly want to have it available for a multitude of reasons. However, we are trying to see if there is a way to reduce this monthly expense.

The only alternative option that we have found is a secure pool phone box that uses a pre-paid wireless cell phone. All of these phones require 911 to be able to be dialed.

What do YOU do on YOUR properties for pool phones?

What other options have you considered?
