I’m trying to get everyone’s opinions on if My partner and I should build affordable housing/workforce housing in the Saint Pete Florida area.

what are the pros and cons, does anyone have horror stories?

We can build cheaper then we can buy units as I’m a home builder, and we will be getting government grants so we will build for a good price and get tax breaks..

We’re gonna be doing eight units, our offer was just accepted buy the seller and we have 30 days to back out on with our offer.. if this is a good deal we have the ability to get another lot that will take 18 units.

I love to some feed back..

Thanks

Man, if you can build for less than you can buy in a B/C neighborhood ABD get tax credits from the municipality, sounds like a home run.  Only thing that might make it better is if the property falls inside an opportunity zone, the its tax free after so many years!
