Rodents issue in the building

Cathy Wang
Posted
Hi, I keep having rodents issue in my multiple family. I have full time property manager company manages the building but often get complaints about rodent issue and tenants leaving before lease end because of this. We have sent exterminator frequently there but doesn’t seem to resolve the issue well. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

@Cathy Wang Get a second opinion from another exterminator, look for one that specializes in commercial properties.  There are almost certainly foundation/vent exclusion work that needs to be done.  If they are just bait boxing and putting traps but not doing exclusion work (assuming it is needed) then the rodents (or worse, cats and raccoons) get into the basement/crawlspace etc.  I would call someone direct and get someone over who does not have a  relationship with the property manager...I have seen, several times where the PM is paying for "service" but not really having anything effective done.
