Need advice on either buying a home or duplex/multifamily

Hello to anyone with advice,

Im very much a newbie to real estate. I'm 27 and looking for advice on starting to invest some money I have saved up little less than  200k. Should I buy a house or is my money better used in buying a duplex or multifamily at this point ? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

With $200k cash, a 2-4 unit property is definitely the way to go.

Let me know if you ever consider venturing down to San Diego and I'd be more than happy to chat about the various options you have.
