Multi Family Investing

Good morning, I was curious to know if I could pull off, operating a SFR Wholesaling business while operating a Multifamily business, of buying multifamily apartments of 5+ units? I'm in the process of strategizing, preparing, and goal setting. My main focus is going to be Apartment investing. I'm wanting to get a feel for the down time associated with Multifamily investing. Any thoughts are welcomed.

Thanks!

I agree about starting with 1 focus, but there is also having the short term chunks of money that can help make the multi-family investing grow quicker.

Some of the podcasts / seminars that I have listened to through Bigger Pockets suggested making sure that if you do flipping and long term holds that they are separate business entities.  The IRS does not need to get confused when you do sell an apartment building and count it towards short term gains.
